Gong Cha Packaging
↘Packaging, Illustration, Branding, Print
Although Gong Cha is solely a bubble tea shop, they have branched out into making instant teas for customers who can't visit their stores. This project aims to create eye-catching packaging through illustrations.

↘Creative Brief
Founded in 2006, Gong Cha 貢茶 (Tribute tea for the emperor), is a global franchise that produces premium quality tea and services that are fit for royalty. They have amassed 1800+ stores in over 20 countries and are loved across the world. As they have branched out, they have created instant tea powders for customers to enjoy on the go, however, their current packaging seems lackluster as it is a milk-tea brown box with red highlights.
Through this project, I aimed to create packaging in a modern design that is eye-catching to potential customers. I opted tp create hand-drawn illustrations for each sketch to stand out from potential competitors.

↘Sketches
Three initial sketches were done based on the research and style board created. The sketches range in different illustrations that include various ingredients and how tea is made.

↘Final Comp & Variations
Using illustrated elements in a square creates a clean and modern look for the brand. This type of styling shows the information about the product in one visual element while highlighting each ingredient and way of making each tea.

↘Production
The production file is crafted after their packaging, but styled to use less cardboard in the end product.
